Tim Reynolds, a native of upstate New York, began his career at the Times Union in Albany before joining the Associated Press in 2002. He moved to Miami Lakes with his wife in 2004 and started covering the Miami Heat in 2003, later becoming the AP's national NBA writer. His career highlights include reporting on 12 consecutive Olympics, Super Bowls, NBA Finals, World Series, Stanley Cup Finals, and Lionel Messi's MLS tenure. Reynolds is a Baseball Hall of Fame voter, Pro Basketball Writers Association member, and was inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame in 2025.
