Patterson spearheaded the development of CityPlace Doral, an $800 million mixed-use project with over 1,000 residences and 40+ commercial tenants that delivered in 2017. Under his leadership, Related Development established regional headquarters in Miami and expanded to multiple southeastern markets including Atlanta and Dallas. He has been frequently published in trade journals and twice testified before the Federal Reserve Board on housing industry matters.

Steve Patterson is a veteran real estate developer who joined Related Group in 2010 and built its rental division into one of the company's most prolific operations. He holds degrees in engineering technology and construction management from Oklahoma State University and brings decades of experience from prior executive roles at ZOM Holding, Picerne Development, and Huber, Hunt & Nichols. Based in Miami, Patterson has established a track record managing real estate ventures valued at over $6 billion across apartments, condominiums, hotels, and retail. He was President of the Builder's Association of South Florida in 2011, awarded the President's Award, and named Builder of the Year in both 2009 and 2019. Patterson is known for innovation in construction methods and creating lifestyle-focused apartment brands including Town, Manor, and Icon properties.
