Scott Storch was born in New York but raised in South Florida, attending schools in Sunrise and Davie, before launching his career as a keyboardist with The Roots in Philadelphia. By his early 30s, he became a top producer, earning a Grammy and ASCAP Songwriter of the Year for tracks with Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. His Miami connection deepened with ownership of a lavish Palm Island mansion, lost to foreclosure in 2010 amid addiction struggles and bankruptcy after squandering $30 million on luxuries. He has since recovered, working from a home studio in Miami with his son and performing at local events. As of March 2025, Storch delivered an exclusive performance at the grand opening of Sora by Hotel Collection in Wynwood.
