A Los Angeles native, Scott Linquist began his culinary career as a dishwasher and pursued formal training at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He gained prominence in New York at Dos Caminos before relocating to South Florida, where he launched Coyo Taco in Wynwood, pioneering the taqueria-speakeasy concept. Linquist helmed Olla on Miami Beach, named Best Restaurant in South Beach by Miami New Times, though it closed after six months due to high rents. Based in Miami Beach, he continues as executive chef, restaurateur, consultant, and cookbook author, with ongoing projects like new Coyo locations in Bayside and beyond.
