Ralph Cutié began his 35-year career with Miami-Dade County in 1990 as a Cost and Scheduling Specialist with Miami-Dade Transit, advancing through roles in project control on major projects like the Metromover Extension and Metrorail Extension. He later worked in the Office of Capital Improvements, Internal Services, and joined the Aviation Department about 11 years ago, rising to Assistant Director for Facilities Management and Engineering before becoming interim and then permanent Director and CEO. A lifelong aviation enthusiast who grew up watching planes at MIA, Cutié has over 38 years of experience in project management, construction, and scheduling. His deep Miami roots include living in southwest Miami-Dade with his wife and three children. Currently, he leads MIA's record growth, infrastructure upgrades, and innovations like biometric boarding.
