Born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Raheem Mostert grew up surfing in shark-infested waters and was offered a pro contract by Billabong before choosing football at Purdue University on a full scholarship. Undrafted out of college, he bounced between practice squads of several NFL teams including the Eagles, Dolphins, Ravens, Browns, Jets, and Bears before breaking out with the San Francisco 49ers, appearing in Super Bowl LIV. He returned to his home state in 2022, signing with the Miami Dolphins where he earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2023 after leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Mostert signed a two-year extension through 2025, solidifying his role as a key backfield leader alongside De'Von Achane and rookie Jaylen Wright. Now in his tenth NFL season, he embraces competition and family time in South Florida during the offseason.
