Philip Levine was born February 18, 1962, in Boston and moved to South Florida at age 10, settling in Miami Beach in the late 1980s. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Political Science. In 1990, he launched Onboard Media with $500 in capital, a port-marketing firm for the cruise industry that expanded significantly before he co-founded Miami Cruiseline Services, which was sold to LVMH. Levine served two terms as Mayor of Miami Beach starting in 2013, where he championed sea-level rise solutions, police reform, and progressive policies. He currently serves as CEO of Royal Media Partners and is a successful real estate developer who rejuvenated Miami Beach's Sunset Harbor neighborhood.
