Paul Warfield, born November 28, 1942, starred as a halfback at Ohio State University, earning All-Big Ten honors twice before entering the NFL with the Cleveland Browns in 1964. He helped the Browns win the NFL Championship that year with 52 receptions for 920 yards and nine touchdowns. Traded to the Miami Dolphins, Warfield became a vital part of their dynasty, contributing to the undefeated 1972 season, Super Bowl VII, and Super Bowl VIII. Over five seasons in Miami, he recorded 156 receptions for 3,355 yards and 33 touchdowns, with a 21.5 yards-per-catch average.
