Motwani has spearheaded the $6 billion Miami Worldcenter, the largest urban development in Miami, transforming downtown's Park West district into a thriving hub of retail, residential, commercial, and hotel spaces. He contributed to revitalizing Fort Lauderdale's waterfront, including the Las Olas Riverfront and luxury hotel developments. Through board roles at the University of Miami’s MRED program, Miami Foundation, Partnership for Miami, and past leadership in the Miami Downtown Development Authority, he has advanced economic development, education, and attracted finance firms to position Miami as a 'Wall Street of the South.'

Nitin Motwani grew up in Fort Lauderdale, helping his family operate beachfront motels during the 1980s before attending Duke University and Columbia University. After working on Wall Street, he returned to South Florida in the early 2000s with his brother Dev, co-developing luxury properties like a Four Seasons on former motel sites. Since 2006, he has served as Managing Partner of Merrimac Ventures, a South Florida-based real estate firm with over 30 years of experience in mixed-use, hotel, office, retail, and residential developments. He also leads Miami Worldcenter Associates, overseeing the $6 billion, 27-acre Miami Worldcenter project in downtown Miami, handling land acquisition, zoning, financing, and development. His deep Miami ties stem from family roots and long-term business in the region. Currently, he remains actively involved in both firms.
