Acerca de
Mario Mieli was a founding member of the Front Homosexuel d'Action Révolutionnaire (FHAR) and participated in the first Italian homosexual demonstration in Sanremo on April 5, 1974, alongside Angelo Pezzana and Françoise d'Eaubonne. He was instrumental in establishing the CUOR (Circolo di cultura omosessuale), which was renamed Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli in his honor following his death. The organization became a significant LGBTQ+ cultural center in Italy, offering counseling, information, and assistance to the LGBTQ+ community. Mieli's legacy extends beyond his lifetime through the continued work of the organization bearing his name. He is not a current Miami-based figure but rather a historical Italian LGBTQ+ activist.
