Born and raised in Los Angeles by a teacher and librarian, Leigh Steinberg earned his B.A. in political science and J.D. from UC Berkeley, serving as student body president during both tenures. He built a legendary career as a sports agent, representing over 300 professional athletes in football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, golf, and more, including a record eight No. 1 overall NFL draft picks and 64 first-round selections. Steinberg is renowned for securing over $4 billion in contracts and directing more than $800 million to charities worldwide. His Miami connection stems from engagements with the University of Miami School of Law and Herbert Business School, where he has spoken to students on sports law, negotiation, and career success. Currently, he serves as Chairman and founder of Steinberg Sports and Entertainment, continuing to represent athletes, develop sports-related media, and advocate for brain health and philanthropy.
