Born in Miami on July 6, 1969, and a graduate of Belen Jesuit, José Cil earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and began his career practicing law before joining Wal-Mart as Vice President and Regional General Manager in Florida. He spent over 20 years at Burger King, rising to Global President, and became CEO of Restaurant Brands International in 2019, overseeing brands like Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs from their Miami headquarters. A lifelong South Florida resident, he has deep ties to the region through RBI's origins there, including enduring events like Hurricane Andrew. Currently, he is an Advisor at RBI and Senior Partner, Global Head of Consumer at JAB Holding Company.
