Born and raised in Perth, Australia, Janine Booth developed a passion for food amid diverse flavors, leading her to study at Le Cordon Bleu in Miami after moving there in 2010. She launched her career at Gigi and a Southern restaurant on Miami Beach under Chef Jeff McInnis, later becoming Sous Chef at Khong River House, nominated for a James Beard Award. The couple opened Root & Bone in NYC in 2014, expanding to Puerto Rico and Indianapolis before refocusing on Miami with spots like Stiltsville Fish Bar, Mitalia Kitchen + Bar, and Root & Bone. Booth competed on Bravo's Top Chef in 2013-2014. She also created Sunny Side Up, an eco-friendly beauty line inspired by restaurant guest treats. Currently, they operate multiple Miami venues and recently opened Florida Room in Fort Lauderdale.
