Born and raised in Miami, Giorgio Rapicavoli has infused his Argentine and Italian heritage into the city's vibrant food culture throughout his career. He became the first Miami contestant to win Food Network's Chopped, leading to the pop-up and eventual opening of his wildly popular Eating House in Coral Gables. The restaurant gained critical acclaim and three James Beard semifinal nods before closing in 2021 and reopening in 2022 on Giralda Plaza. In 2021, he launched Luca Osteria, named after his son, under his Shake and Bake Hospitality Group. Currently, he oversees Eating House, Luca Osteria, and serves as chef at Mayfair Grill in Coconut Grove, with mentions of Grape Ape in South Miami.
