Gino R. Santorio, a first-generation Italian-American born in Albany, New York, began his career as a budget analyst for New York governors before transitioning to Florida healthcare finance around 15 years ago. He rose to CFO in for-profit hospitals in Tampa Bay, then joined Jackson Health System as part of a turnaround team that converted massive losses into surpluses, followed by key executive roles at Broward Health including major construction projects. With over 15 years of executive healthcare experience, he now serves as President and CEO of Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, leading operations across 12 locations in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Santorio manages more than 4,000 employees and 700 physicians at the hospital, recognized as a top 250 U.S. hospital by Healthgrades multiple years.
