As President of the NAACP Miami-Dade Branch, Daniella Pierre has built on its legacy by mentoring the next generation of leaders, promoting technology adoption, and launching advocacy initiatives to advance the Black community in South Florida. Her work with Miami-Dade County Public Schools in Title I Administration supports educational equity for at-risk students, drawing from her own background. She contributes to affordable housing and homeownership efforts as a board member of Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida, addressing displacement issues in Miami-Dade.

Daniella Pierre is a longtime Miami-Dade County resident and former student of Jan Mann Opportunity Center, an alternative school for at-risk youth, Job Corps, and an alumna of Florida International University’s Chapman Graduate School of Business. She began her journey in social justice as a young Girl Scout, later motivated by personal experiences like losing her home to foreclosure and being priced out of the rental market. With over 10 years in higher education, fair housing advocacy, and social justice, she has earned awards such as South Florida’s Top 40 Under 40 Black Leaders and Top 100 Haitian Americans of the Year. Currently employed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools in the Department of Title I Administration, she focuses on educational equity and issues affecting women and young girls. In 2020, she was elected President of the NAACP Miami-Dade Branch, where she mentors emerging leaders and advances Black community initiatives. She recently joined the Board of Governance of Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida.
