Conde maintains strong Miami connections through his education at Belen Jesuit and current faculty position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He received the FACE Excellence Award from Facts About Cuban Exiles, recognizing his accomplishments in the Cuban American community at an event held at Coral Gables Country Club. His leadership of NBCUniversal News includes establishing diversity initiatives and the NBCU Academy, a journalism training program partnering with 45 academic institutions serving traditionally underrepresented communities.

César Conde was born in New York City to a Peruvian father and Cuban mother. He holds a B.A. with honors from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Since May 2020, he has served as Chairman of NBCUniversal News Group, becoming the first Hispanic to lead a major English-language television news organization. Prior to this role, he headed NBC Telemundo and served as President of Univision Networks. Under his leadership, NBCUniversal News has become the number one digital news organization in the country. He is also affiliated with the University of Miami as a Professor at the Miller School of Medicine. Conde is a graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in Miami and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2022.
