Avra Jain transitioned from Wall Street bond trading to real estate development, earning a reputation for spotting and revitalizing Miami's next 'it' neighborhoods like Little Haiti, Little River, Wynwood, Midtown, and the MiMo District. An industrial engineering graduate from Purdue University and recipient of three Sundance Film Awards for the documentary Dark Days, she co-founded Vagabond Group with her wife Dalia Lagoa, focusing on historic renovations such as the Vagabond Motel and Gold Dust Motel. Her career highlights include developing Factory Town, a music-centric entertainment hub in Hialeah with Live Nation/Insomniac, and major land deals like assembling five acres near the Adrienne Arsht Center sold for $78 million. Deeply connected to Miami since bringing her urban-infill expertise from 1990s Manhattan, she currently advises on the University of Miami’s Master of Real Estate Development and Urbanism Advisory Board while leading over $250 million in boutique investments.
