Born July 11, 1981, in Miami, Florida, Andre Lamont Johnson starred as a wide receiver for the University of Miami Hurricanes, where he amassed 1,831 career receiving yards and 20 touchdowns, including a co-MVP performance in the 2002 Rose Bowl national championship win. Selected third overall by the Houston Texans in the 2003 NFL Draft, he spent 12 seasons with the team, setting franchise records with 1,012 receptions, 13,597 yards, and 64 touchdowns. A seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, Johnson led the NFL in receiving yards in consecutive seasons and ranks 11th all-time in career receptions (1,062) and yards (14,185). He played briefly with the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans before retiring in 2016. In 2024, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the first Texans player honored, and he was also the inaugural member of the Texans' Ring of Honor in 2017.
