Born April 26, 1992, in Linden, California, Aaron Judge was drafted by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft after playing college baseball at Fresno State. He debuted in MLB in 2016 and exploded in 2017 with a rookie-record 52 home runs, earning unanimous AL Rookie of the Year honors. Judge set the AL single-season home run record with 62 in 2022, re-signed with the Yankees on a nine-year, $360 million contract, and was named team captain. He won his second unanimous AL MVP in 2024, leading MLB in home runs and OPS while reaching 300 career home runs faster than any player; the Yankees reached the World Series that year but lost. In 2025, he captured his third MVP, second consecutive, and first batting title. Judge captained the U.S. national team at the 2026 World Baseball Classic and remains active as a seven-time All-Star.
