Arriving from Cuba as a preteen in 1969, Sergio Pino bootstrapped from plumbing work to establish Century Homebuilders Group in 2013, rapidly expanding it into a powerhouse with record sales like 500 homes in a single year and ventures from West Kendall estates to Doral's Century Midtown mixed-use hub. His influence extended to leading the Latin Builders Association, co-founding U.S. Century Bank, and securing accolades such as FIU's Entrepreneur of the Year, alongside board roles at Jackson Memorial Hospital and FIU, plus a gubernatorial nod to the FDOT Commission. Deeply embedded in Miami's growth, Pino's developments defined skylines in Doral, south Miami-Dade, Coral Gables, and Florida City. Tatiana Pino now holds full reins of the company following 2025 settlements resolving estate battles with his brother Carlos and lawsuits against associates over disputed asset transfers.
