Leading USA Health's 7,700-employee organization since 2018, Dr. Chang has slashed serious safety events by over 70%, launched a surgical quality program aligned with American College of Surgeons standards, and orchestrated the 2023 Providence Hospital acquisition while advising on COVID response. Promoted to Chief Physician Executive in 2025, he chairs the national Trauma Quality Improvement Program and earned a 2025 Becker's Hospital Review nod as a top CMO. Previously, he directed quality and trauma services at Wake Forest Baptist Health as a surgery professor. His American College of Surgeons trauma leadership fosters ties to South Florida through regional symposiums advancing injury care collaboration.
