Ian Schrager kickstarted the boutique hotel revolution after co-founding the legendary Studio 54 nightclub, later building a global empire with over 50 properties including the Marriott-partnered EDITION hotels until 2022. In Miami, his imprint shines through the vibrant Miami Beach EDITION, a South Florida staple fusing beachfront allure with nightlife energy since 2014. Through Ian Schrager Company, he owns, develops, and manages innovative hotels and residences, like the Gramercy Park Hotel redo and luxury towers such as 40 Bond in New York. His PUBLIC hotels, launched in New York's Lower East Side in 2017, secured a $310M refinance in late 2025 amid plans for venue upgrades. Partnering with Highgate, he's fast-tracking PUBLIC's growth, including the 137-room PUBLIC West Hollywood opening spring 2026 with John Pawson architecture, a massive rooftop terrace, and Miami projects ahead.
