She hosts roundtables on homelessness, such as the November 2025 event in Homestead with city mayors and the Homeless Trust, while supporting Chapman Partnership with funding and meals. Her efforts protect Biscayne Bay, promote economic growth, and advance environmental resilience, directly improving lives in South Florida.

Raquel Regalado is the first Miami-born Hispanic woman elected to the Miami-Dade County Commission, representing District 7 with a lifelong commitment to local issues. A licensed attorney specializing in corporate litigation, real estate, asset valuation, and intellectual property, she has hosted Spanish-language radio and TV programs since 2008, including daily shows on La Poderosa 670 AM and Esta Semana con Raquel, focusing on politics, housing, immigration, and social services. She contributed to the Seven50 economic plan as part of the Southeast Florida Regional Partnership and served on the NALEO executive board, addressing juvenile justice, Dreamer protections, and bilingual education. Currently, she co-hosts Hoy por Hoy on Radio Caracol 1260 AM and writes editorials for Community Newspapers and El Diario de la Americas. Her hands-on leadership drives projects in affordable housing, Biscayne Bay protection, lower property taxes, and infrastructure.
