Michael L. Harrington brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to his role in South Florida. Prior to joining Nicklaus Children's Hospital in 2016, he served as president of Christus Health Louisiana, managing a 284-bed medical center, rehabilitation center, and long-term care facility. He previously held chief operating officer positions at Danville Regional Medical Center in Virginia and Cape Fear Valley Health System in North Carolina. His Miami connection stems from his appointment at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, where he oversees day-to-day operations of the 289-bed pediatric specialty hospital. Harrington holds an MBA from Webster College in Sarasota, Florida, an MA in counseling psychology from Rollins College, and a Lean Six-Sigma yellow belt certification. He plays a pivotal role in enhancing pediatric care services across Miami Children’s Health System.
