Through WIN Lab Miami, Abbs scaled women-led ventures, creating over 50 jobs and fostering economic growth in South Florida’s startup scene. Her leadership in Teach for America and Miami Foundation Fellows strengthened education and community networks. As founder of Web3 Equity and Mana Tech Miami director, she drives inclusion of women in Miami’s booming tech and web3 ecosystems.
About
Michelle Abbs began her Miami career with Teach for America, serving as Managing Director where she coached over 400 teachers in Miami-Dade Public Schools and innovated program models. She later became Director of Babson College’s WIN Lab Miami, growing the accelerator for female-founded companies, tripling applicants, and driving over 7 million in capital raised and 244% average revenue growth for 60+ alumni. Named Emerging Leader of South Florida in 2018, she embedded in the local ecosystem as a Class IX Miami Foundation Fellow, launching its first alumni program. After over two years at WIN Lab, she briefly joined Mana Tech as Miami director before founding Web3 Equity to educate and empower women in web3. With a Master’s in International Education from Florida International University and BA from University of North Carolina, she remains a thought leader featured in Fast Company and national conferences.
