Born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, Katherine Boyle began her career as a general assignment reporter at The Washington Post before entering venture capital. She joined General Catalyst, rising to partner and co-leading its seed practice, where she invested in early rounds of defense tech firms like Anduril Industries and Vannevar Labs, and moved to Miami in 2021 to head its civic technology business. In 2022, she became a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, co-founding its American Dynamism fund focused on aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and infrastructure. A practicing Catholic with two children as of 2025, she lives in the Miami metropolitan area and champions free speech through board roles at The Free Press and Mercatus Center.
