About
Jim Kiick was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 1968 NFL/AFL draft and played as a running back for the team from 1968 to 1974. He amassed 3,644 rushing yards (fifth in team history) and 221 receptions, leading the Dolphins in rushing in 1968 and 1969, and earning AFL All-Star nods both years. Kiick was integral to the ball-control offense under Coach Don Shula, playing in three Super Bowls and scoring touchdowns in Miami's victories in Super Bowl VI and VII during the perfect 1972 season.
