Born and raised in Immokalee, Florida, Edgerrin James attended Immokalee High School before becoming a standout running back at the University of Miami, where he set multiple records including consecutive 1000+ yard rushing seasons and was inducted into the UM Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. Drafted fourth overall by the Indianapolis Colts in 1999, he earned Rookie of the Year honors, four Pro Bowls, and amassed over 12,000 rushing yards in an 11-year NFL career, culminating in his 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction. His deep Miami connection stems from his Hurricanes tenure and current residence in Miami, where he co-founded The Dome pop-up nightclub in downtown Miami for events like the 2020 Super Bowl 'Stripper Bowl.' Today, as President and CEO of Evolving 8 Enterprises, he oversees ventures in real estate, entertainment, and sports while leading the Edgerrin James Foundation to support youth decision-making.
