Now at PGI-13, he engineers larger-scale superconducting circuits to overcome key hurdles in practical quantum systems. Volkov stands out for pioneering quantum sonification, co-authoring papers that transform superposition states into rhythmic music via digital signal processing, as seen in his 2025 publication on methods and musical applications. He also developed Pivotuner for real-time pure intonation and microtonal modulation. No known professional ties link him to Miami or South Florida.
