Through the Irie Foundation, he empowers at-risk youth via mentorship, cultural programs, and scholarships from his Miami base. His longstanding role as Miami Heat DJ boosts local sports culture and community spirit.

Born in St. Croix and raised in Miami, DJ Irie discovered his passion for music while schooled in Jamaica, building his first beat machine from a Walkman and speakers alongside roommate Sean Paul. He rose to prominence as the host of the top mix-show on Miami's WEDR 99 Jamz and was voted Best Club DJ by Miami New Times in 2005 while earning a 2007 BET Award nomination. Deeply connected to Miami, he has served as the official DJ for the 2006 NBA World Champion Miami Heat for multiple seasons, energizing fans at American Airlines Arena. A Florida International University alumnus, he shares inspirational messages on self-belief and hard work. Currently, he leads entrepreneurial ventures including the Irie Group and Artist Related consulting firm.
