Henderson's return to South Florida as Inter Miami's Chief Soccer Officer directly contributed to the club's competitive success, including the 2024 MLS Supporter's Shield championship. He reconnected with the Miami soccer community after his playing stint with Miami Fusion in 2001 and worked to build a roster and youth pipeline that elevated Inter Miami's standing in MLS and globally.

Christopher Henderson was born December 11, 1970, and is an American former professional soccer midfielder with an 11-season MLS playing career across five clubs. He played for the Miami Fusion in 2001, where he was named the club's Humanitarian of the Year, and represented the U.S. Men's National Team 79 times. Henderson served as Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director of Inter Miami CF starting January 18, 2021, where he oversaw strategic soccer operations and roster management. During his tenure, Inter Miami won the 2023 Leagues Cup and 2024 MLS Supporter's Shield. Prior to joining Inter Miami, he spent 13 years as Sporting Director for Seattle Sounders FC, helping the team win two MLS Cups (2016, 2019) and multiple U.S. Open Cups.
