Carlos 'Charlie' E. Martinez grew up in Miami and co-founded Caribe Homes with his father in 1986, building over 5,500 homes in Miami-Dade County and achieving a record $140 million in sales in 2005. He later founded CEM Investments LLC, focusing on real estate projects, and became a partner in Grove Bay Group, which operates popular Miami restaurants like Shula's 347, Glass & Vine, and Stubborn Seed. A lifelong Miami resident living in Pinecrest with his family, Martinez has deep ties to South Florida's business and construction sectors. He previously served as president of the Latin Builders’ Association and contributed to building code enforcement across the region. Appointed to the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board in 2019, with his current term running through March 2028.
