Miami Connection
Born in Rochester, New York, Shulman returned to South Florida in 1991 to pursue his master's degree at the University of Miami and has since become a defining force in Miami's architectural identity. His firm has worked extensively with local cultural institutions including ArtCenter South Florida, Bakehouse Art Complex, and the Rubell Family Collection, while also leading the development of the Buoyant City: Historic District Resiliency and Adaptation Guidelines for Miami Beach in 2020. He has redefined South Florida's architectural vernacular by merging contemporary design with celebration of the region's historic modernist buildings and homes.
