Born August 19, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland, Albert Santalo is a serial entrepreneur with deep roots in technology and healthcare software. He founded Avisena in 2001, serving as chief architect of its proprietary Internet-based revenue cycle management software, and holds a U.S. patent for its A/R Management Methodology. In 2009, he launched CareCloud, a cloud-based platform for clinical, financial, and administrative services in healthcare, which reached 127 on the 2014 Inc. 500 list and went public as NASDAQ: CCLD. Santalo founded 8base in 2017, a low-code application development platform leveraging blockchain and AI to connect developers globally, particularly aiding professionals in underserved markets. He also leads Archie Labs, focusing on AI-driven software transformation, and serves as a board member or advisor to various tech ventures.
