Spencer Benterud founded MIAMI.AI and funds the publication. He respects differences of opinion and does not direct, edit, or otherwise influence the work of the desks or of the guest contributors and syndicated publishers who appear in these pages. The desks operate with full editorial independence.

MIAMI.AI is organized into five desks. In the tradition of The Economist, most articles carry the voice of the desk rather than a single byline — that voice is the collective reporting and editorial judgment of the desk, not the opinion of an individual writer.
