Alice Bravo has profoundly shaped Miami's transportation landscape through her leadership at Miami-Dade County, modernizing public transit with the SMART Plan, smart signals, autonomous vehicles, and the South Corridor BRT. As Deputy City Manager for the City of Miami, she expanded the city's Trolley System and supported transit-oriented developments. Her initiatives, including the Port of Miami Tunnel and 95 Express Lanes, have enhanced connectivity, efficiency, and innovation across South Florida, positioning Miami as a hub for advanced mobility solutions.

Alice N. Bravo, P.E., serves as President & CEO of Alice Bravo & Associates LLC, a consulting firm specializing in engineering, transit planning, design, funding, and regulatory issues for highway and transit projects. With more than 25 years of experience, she previously held key roles including Director of Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works, where she developed the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan, secured the county's first federal transit grant in over 25 years for the South Corridor Bus Rapid Transit project (opened October 2025), and advanced smart signals, autonomous vehicles, urban air mobility, and transit-oriented developments. She also served as Director at the Florida Department of Transportation, leading the 95 Express Lanes and Port of Miami Tunnel P3 projects, and as Deputy City Manager for the City of Miami, overseeing the city's Trolley System. Earlier, she was Senior VP at a global engineering firm like WSP. A University of Miami civil engineering graduate with an MBA from Florida International University, Bravo is a past-chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation Committee and a founding board member of the Florida Policy Project.
