Born on February 13, 1977, in New York City to Colombian billionaire Julio Mario Santo Domingo and Beatriz Dávila, Alejandro graduated from Harvard University with a degree in history after attending the Hotchkiss School. He manages the family-owned Santo Domingo Group, overseeing interests in brewing giants like Bavaria Brewery, where he serves as Chairman, and media outlets including Caracol Televisión and El Espectador. As Senior Managing Director of Quadrant Capital Advisors in New York, he also sits on boards of Anheuser-Busch InBev, Florida Crystals, and various Peruvian and Colombian firms. In 2023, he invested in the $6.05 billion purchase of the NFL's Washington Commanders. Married to Lady Charlotte Wellesley, daughter of the 9th Duke of Wellington, they have two children born in 2017 and 2019.
